AIRPREG PY Prepreg

AIRPREG PY prepreg is a new phenolic resin developed to meet FST (Fire, Smoke, Toxicity) regulations for aircraft interior parts such as: side wall panels, floor panels, ceiling panels, galleys and toilets. AIRPREG PY is suitable for use in a wide variety of manufacturing processes, Crushed-Core-process, Press-process, Autoclave-process, Vacuum-Bag-process. AIRPREG PY is available in 3 tack levels to match the manufacturing process to be employed. AIRPREG PY is available in various fabric reinforcements.

• AIRPREG PY are suitable for different curing cycles as for example:
     — 75 min at 135°C
     — 30 min at 155°C
     — 15 min at 155°C (e.g. for crushed core applications)

• Controlled flow matrix

• Good peel properties

• Good surface finish

• Excellent mechanical properties

• Shop life of Prepreg, some days up to many weeks

• No fray of cutting edge like dry fabrics

• Available in 3 tack levels (T0, T1, T2)
